Collection: Fenugreek
Botanicals & Herbs
Trigonella foenum-graecum
Fenugreek is an annual herb native to the Mediterranean and western Asia, cultivated for thousands of years as both a spice and a medicinal plant. Its seeds, small, golden, and intensely aromatic, have been used in Ayurvedic and North African haircare traditions for centuries, valued for their ability to condition, strengthen, and add shine to hair. Egyptian queens reportedly used fenugreek in their beauty rituals, and it remains a staple of traditional haircare across South Asia and the Middle East today.
Rich in protein, nicotinic acid, and potassium, fenugreek seeds are particularly nourishing for hair that is dry, brittle, or prone to breakage. Their high lecithin content adds intense conditioning and slip to haircare formulas.
How It Works
Fenugreek's protein content helps rebuild and strengthen the hair shaft, while its high lecithin content provides deep conditioning and natural slip that eases detangling. Its nicotinic acid stimulates scalp circulation, supporting a healthier follicle environment. Its natural hormone precursors, diosgenin and other steroidal saponins, are believed to support hair density and reduce shedding over time with consistent use.
