Why we cure for 4–6 weeks. Cold-process soap is safe to use right away, but we hold every bar for at least 4–6 weeks after pouring. During that time excess water evaporates, the bar hardens, and the lather becomes richer and gentler. Bars released earlier are perfectly fine, but the extra cure time means a longer-lasting bar for you — the same standard we note on our About Us page.

Scent changes are normal. Natural essential oils are living botanicals — citrus notes (lemon, orange, grapefruit) and some florals will mellow or fade within a few months. Earthy, woody, and resin-based scents tend to deepen over time. The cleansing qualities of your bar are not affected by scent changes.

Keep it cool and dry. Store unused bars in a cool, dry spot away from direct sunlight and humidity — a linen closet or cupboard shelf works perfectly. Avoid sealed containers, which trap moisture. Properly stored bars stay fresh for many months.

Between uses, let your bar breathe. Use a draining soap dish or a wooden rack so water can run off freely between showers. A bar that sits in standing water will soften and dissolve faster.

Patch test & fragrance sensitivity. If you have sensitive skin or known fragrance sensitivities, try a small patch on your inner forearm for 24 hours before regular use. If irritation occurs, discontinue use. Each product page lists the full ingredient (INCI) list so you can check for anything you prefer to avoid.
