Grapefruit essential oil is cold-pressed from the peel of the grapefruit, a citrus hybrid that originated in the Caribbean in the 18th century and is now cultivated extensively across the Americas and Mediterranean. Its bright, zesty, slightly bitter aroma is one of the most immediately uplifting of all citrus oils, fresh and energizing with a clean, sparkling quality that is hard to replicate with any synthetic fragrance.

In our formulas grapefruit contributes a vibrant, clarifying top note that pairs beautifully with mint, herbs, and woodier base notes. In haircare it brings its bright citrus character alongside its natural cleansing properties.
