Hemp seed oil is cold-pressed from the seeds of the hemp plant and is one of the most nutritionally balanced oils available for skincare. It contains an ideal ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 fatty acids, close to the ratio found naturally in healthy skin, as well as gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) and a full spectrum of vitamins including A, C, and E.

Hemp seed oil contains no THC and has no psychoactive properties. It is valued purely for its exceptional fatty acid profile and its ability to nourish and support the skin barrier without clogging pores.

How It Works

The balanced omega profile in hemp seed oil makes it particularly well-suited to face oils and skin-focused formulas where barrier support is a priority. Its linoleic acid content is especially beneficial for acne-prone or congestion-prone skin, as linoleic acid is often deficient in sebum in those skin types. It absorbs readily and leaves a non-greasy finish, making it a versatile addition to lightweight facial formulas.
