Menthol crystals are the pure, crystallized form of menthol,the naturally occurring compound responsible for the cooling sensation of mint. Extracted primarily from cornmint (Mentha arvensis) through distillation and crystallization, menthol crystals are far more concentrated than peppermint essential oil,and must be handled and dosed with corresponding precision. Their cooling effect is immediate, intense, and unmistakable.

In our shower steamer formulas menthol crystals are the key active ingredient,their sublimation in the steam of a hot shower releases a rush of clearing, invigorating menthol vapor that opens the airways and creates an intensely refreshing, spa-like sensory experience. They are used in carefully calculated amounts that are effective and impactful without being overwhelming.

How It Works

Menthol activates TRPM8,a cold-sensitive ion channel in the skin and mucous membranes,producing the characteristic cooling sensation without any actual temperature change. In shower steamer format, menthol sublimates,converts directly from solid to vapor,when exposed to the heat and humidity of the shower, releasing its clearing, breath-opening properties into the steam. The effect is similar to a eucalyptus steam room, creating a deeply invigorating, respiratory-clearing experience that transforms a shower into a wellness ritual.
