Panthenol,also known as Pro-Vitamin B5,is a water-soluble vitamin precursor that converts to pantothenic acid (Vitamin B5) on contact with skin and hair. How It Works

As a humectant, panthenol attracts water molecules from the surrounding environment and binds them to the skin and hair surface, supporting sustained hydration. As an emollient it fills in gaps in the hair cuticle and skin surface, improving smoothness, reducing frizz, and creating a more polished appearance. In hair it penetrates the shaft to strengthen the cortex, reducing breakage and improving elasticity. Its anti-inflammatory properties also contribute to scalp and skin comfort.
