Collection: Petitgrain Essential Oil
Essential Oils
Citrus aurantium ssp. amara
Petitgrain essential oil is steam distilled from the leaves and twigs of the bitter orange tree, the same tree that produces neroli from its flowers and bitter orange from its fruit. Its name means "little grain" in French, referring to the small, unripe fruits that were originally distilled along with the leaves. Today petitgrain is produced almost entirely from the leaves and small twigs, yielding an oil with a fresh, woody, floral-citrus character that sits beautifully between the brightness of citrus and the depth of florals.
Petitgrain is one of the great underrated oils in natural perfumery, less famous than neroli or bergamot, but with a distinctive character that is immediately recognizable and extraordinarily versatile. It is a signature note in classic French colognes and a natural fit for our Normandy-inspired aesthetic.

Character: Uplifting, balancing, classically elegant

Skin Benefits
Petitgrain's linalool and linalyl acetate content provide anti-inflammatory and sebum-balancing properties. It is traditionally used in formulas for oily or combination skin, where its gentle astringency and balancing character support a more comfortable, even complexion without over-drying.
