Propanediol is a naturally derived humectant and solvent produced through the fermentation of corn sugar, a plant-based alternative to propylene glycol, the petroleum-derived diol traditionally used in cosmetics as a humectant, penetration enhancer, and preservative booster. Our propanediol is 100% bio-based, biodegradable, and produced through a fermentation process that generates significantly lower greenhouse gas emissions than petroleum-based alternatives.

How It Works
