Hydrogenated Soybean Oil

Soy wax is produced by fully hydrogenating soybean oil, a process that converts the liquid oil into a solid, creamy wax at room temperature. Developed in the 1990s as a plant-based alternative to paraffin wax, soy wax has become one of the most popular candle-making materials available, valued for its clean burn, its longer burn time compared to paraffin, and its renewable, biodegradable origin. Soybeans are one of the most widely grown crops in the United States, making soy wax a domestically sourced and relatively sustainable choice.

How It Works

Soy wax burns cooler and slower than paraffin, producing less soot and allowing fragrance oils to diffuse more evenly and consistently throughout the burn. Its lower melting point means it pools readily around the wick, supporting an even burn that minimizes tunneling. 

Keep candles away from drafts, flammable materials, and out of reach of children and pets. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
