Collection: Tea Tree Essential Oil
Essential Oils
Melaleuca alternifolia
Tea tree essential oil is steam distilled from the leaves of Melaleuca alternifolia, a small tree native to the coastal regions of New South Wales, Australia, where it grows along creek beds and swampy lowlands. Indigenous Australians used tea tree leaves medicinally for thousands of years, crushing them and applying them directly to skin for healing. European settlers adopted the practice, and during World War II tea tree oil was included in Australian soldiers' first aid kits as a standard antiseptic.
Today tea tree is one of the most extensively researched essential oils in the world, with its antimicrobial properties among the most scientifically documented of any plant-derived ingredient.

Scalp & Skin Benefits
Tea tree's terpinen-4-ol content is responsible for its remarkable broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity, effective against bacteria, fungi, and certain viruses. In haircare it targets the fungal and bacterial contributors to dandruff and scalp imbalance. In skincare it supports the management of congestion and blemishes without the harshness of synthetic antimicrobial agents.
